Yes. Zed is a Mastercard credit card that can be used globally, online and in person.

Yes. Zed cardholders receive one physical card and can create virtual cards in the Zed app. All purchases across all your cards add to the same Zed balance.

Virtual cards help keep your account secure when you transact online. Each has its own card number you can lock or delete anytime. Some ways to use virtual cards:

  • “Burner” card — make one purchase, then delete the card.
  • Subscription card — make a virtual card for each of your online subscriptions. If you ever want to cancel a subscription, just lock or delete that card.
  • Merchant card — use a virtual card only for purchases with a specific merchant, so you can monitor charges and lock the card between uses.

  • Open the Google Wallet app or download it on Google Play.
  • Tap ‘Add to Wallet’ and follow the instructions.
  • Verify your card if needed.
  • Once you’ve successfully added your card to Google Wallet, select your Zed card from the home screen
  • Select details at the bottom of the screen
  • Select ‘Make default for contactless’

Paying your Zed bill is quick and easy, with several options and no fees from Zed:

  • Linked Bank Account (in the Zed App): Pay directly from your linked bank. Payments reflect instantly.
  • QR Ph (InstaPay): Generate a QR code from the Zed app and pay with free, instant transfers. Most major banks and wallets support QR Ph, thought many set a ₱50,000 limit. If your bill is higher, just split it into smaller amounts.
  • Bank Transfer (PesoNet): Ideal for larger payments or if your bank can’t scan QR Ph. Payments typically arrive within the same business day depending on your bank’s cut-off. Your bank may charge a fee to send via PesoNet. Zed does not charge to receive payments.
  • USDC Payments: Use USDC to pay your Zed balance directly. No off-ramps required.

Tip: Share your Zed QR code so friends and family can pay you back directly to your Zed card when splitting bills.

Zed works internationally with any merchant that accepts Mastercard. Zed is the perfect travel card because there are zero foreign transaction fees.

No. Zed does not charge an annual fee.

It depends on how you pay:

  • Pay your full balance by the due date every month — no interest charged, and your grace period stays intact.
  • Pay less than your full balance — interest applies to the unpaid amount that billing cycle, and you lose your grace period.
  • To get your grace period back — pay your full balance the following month. You’ll still be charged some residual interest that cycle for the days your balance was unpaid, but you’ll be back to interest-free after that.
  • Paying early can help reduce the interest you owe.
  • Installment plans have their own fixed monthly rate, shown to you before you commit.

For full details on rates and how they’re calculated, see the Zed Cardholder Agreement.

A Grace Period is when your account is in a state where no interest is charged on your balance. Think of it as a reward for paying in full consistently.

  • You start with it — all new Zed cardholders begin with a Grace Period.
  • You keep it by paying your full balance by the due date every month.
  • You lose it if you pay less than your full balance — interest will apply that cycle.
  • You can get it back by paying your full balance the following month, though some residual interest may apply during that recovery cycle.

For more details, see “How to Avoid Interest” in the Cardholder Agreement, or check the FAQ “Does Zed charge interest?”.

No, but it comes at a cost. Zed gives you the flexibility to pay less than your full balance, as long as you pay at least the minimum due. Just know that doing so means you will lose your Grace Period and be charged interest.

For more details on how interest is calculated, see the Cardholder Agreement.

Missing a payment pauses your Zed account — you won’t be able to make purchases until it’s settled. You’ll also be charged a ₱1,000 late payment penalty. Interest will continue to accrue on any unpaid billed balances.

You’ll still have full access to the app and your account data. Please contact us at [email protected] if you additional help.

Installments let you split larger purchases into smaller monthly payments. Eligible transactions can be converted in just a few taps in your Zed app: choose your term, review the full breakdown, and confirm your plan. Each installment shows up in your monthly Statement together with your regular purchases, and everything is due on your Statement Due Date.

All fees are shown upfront before you confirm, so you always know the total cost—no surprises, no hidden charges. There are no early termination penalties if you want to pay off your plan early. If a transaction isn’t eligible, the Installments option simply won’t appear.

Certain larger purchases from your current statement period can be converted to installments once they’ve posted to your account. To see which posted transactions are eligible, tap “Pay in Installments” on the main screen of the app.

Just keep in mind: eligibility is determined by a number of factors and is only confirmed after a transaction posts, not before. So avoid counting on installments for a specific purchase until you’ve seen it in the app.
